Tim and Jill Gallie Travelling Fellowship

The Tim and Jill Gallie Travelling Fellowship is one of three signature HKUMed initiatives established with the support of Mr and Mrs Tim and Jill Gallie, alongside the Tim and Jill Gallie Lecture and the Tim and Jill Gallie Postgraduate Fellowship in Neurosurgery. Hosted through the Clinical Neuroscience Consortium (CNC), these programmes are designed to nurture talent, foster collaboration, promote innovation, and advance excellence in patient care. They were made possible by the Gallies’ landmark gift of HK$10 million to CNC.

I was awarded the Tim and Jill Gallie Travelling Fellowship 2026–27 to support a six-month research visit to the Wellcome Sanger Institute. During the visit I will study cellular interactions in glioblastoma using large-scale spatial transcriptomics, building on our FineST framework.
